Alaskan Malamute puppies at play

Alaskan Malamute Puppies – Life is so easy and enjoyable for these little ones. They remind me so much of our litter of Malamute puppies.  There are some whose ears are not up yet. There are some who already like to play in water. Too cute!!! Enjoy!

Hello, I am currently living on Oahu, we are moving into a house in a couple of weeks and can finally have a dog, we know of someone on island with an Alaskan malamute and he is perfect. I was just wondering if I could get info on the prices, where we can get one , ect.. Thank you!

Aloha Brandon. Thanks for contacting me. Unfortunately, you may not like my answer. After having 8 Malamutes in Hawaii, I do not recommend Malamutes for Hawaii, especially not with global warming affecting us like it is. It is so hard to keep them cool enough unless you live up in Waimea on Hawaii Island or in Kula on Maui or Kokeé on Kauai. We got all of our dogs from Australia or New Zealand once we moved to Hawaii since they don’t have rabies there and the dog can come right into Hawaii, though they don’t fly them over until about 3 months of age so they can handle the stress of flying ad relocating. Our Australian breeder has since closed her business due to getting older herself. Our New Zealand breeder was more of a one time thing due to a divorce.
Malamutes are incredibly wonderful companions and love people. Maybe you could make friends with the Malamute person on Oahu and help take care of and enjoy their dog? Just an idea, as they need regular brushing/grooming to get the dead hair out their coat which helps them stay a little cooler. You could help take the dog for early and late walks when it is cool. Thanks again for asking, sorry for the no answer. Best to you.
